JUST AS YOU MAY RECALL FROM PAST PRESENTATIONS, SO THE NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION IS A PROCESS THAT TEACHERS GO THROUGH, THAT REALLY SETS A PRETTY HIGH BAR. SO OUR TEACHERS HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ONGOING ASSESSMENT WHERE THEY SUBMIT CLASSROOM VIDEO RECORDINGS, PORTFOLIOS, AND STUDENT WORK AND WRITTEN REFLECTIONS OF THE WORK THAT THEY ARE DOING IN CLASS, AND ALSO COMPLETE CONTENT KNOWLEDGE TEST.
AND THIS IS ALL HAPPENING WHILE THEY ARE INSTRUCTING PURCHASE OF A GOAL IS NOT ONLY DEMONSTRATING YOUR CONFIDENCE, BUT YOU'RE ALSO LEARNING AND GROWING AS YOU'RE DOING THE WORK.

SO THE TEACHERS REALLY DO NEED TO BE PART OF A LOGIC AND REASON AS THEY'RE DOING THEIR WORK COMPETENCE FOR NATIONAL BOARDS. SO WE WANTED TO TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO CALL OF FOLKS WHO ARE RECEIVING NATIONAL BOARDS FOR THE FIRST TIME. AND AS DR. HOLMAN MENTIONED, DUE TO COVID-19 THIS YEAR, PROBABLY A FEW LESS THAN WE WOULD TYPICALLY HAVE BUT AGAIN HATS OFF TO THESE FOLKS, SO IN HER JOINTS AT LAKE WASHINGTON ICICLE, SHAWNA CORE SEAN AT EASTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL KRISTIN MACLEOD AT IMS AND : TRACY.

THESE BENEFITS ARE LISTED IN THE REPORT BENCHMARKING HIGH SCHOOL START TIMES THAT LAKE WASHINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT COMMISSIONED AND PAID FOR FROM RESEARCH IN 2013. TWO OVER 60 SCHOOL DISTRICTS, IT HAS BECOME APPARENT THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS ARE NOT AS EDUCATED CONCERNING THE LAWS THAT GOVERN THEM AS WE ARE. PERHAPS WE CAN LEARN TOGETHER, TYPE RCW 28 A INTO ANY SEARCH ENGINE AND BEGIN THE JOURNEY.

UNFORTUNATELY THE TEACHERS UNION IS NOW PRESSURING THE DISTRICT TO KEEP THE MASKED MANDATES IN PLACE UNTIL MAY 1.
BUT THAT UNION'S VERY OWN LETTER MAKES IT CLEAR THAT THIS REQUEST IS BASED ON WIDESPREAD IGNORANCE OF THE SCIENCE.
AND THE FACT THAT THE TEACHERS ARE AFRAID AND DEPENDENT ON

LAKE WASHINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT IS THE SECOND-LARGEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE STATE AND IT COULD HAVE INFLUENCE ON STATE POLICY AND MASS MANDATES.BUT INSTEAD YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO CLAIM THAT YOU ARE POWERLESS.
THAT YOU HAD TO FOLLOW THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, AND YOU DON'T CARE WHAT PARENTS THINK WHAT IS BEST FOR THEIR OWN CHILDREN AND MASS. IN THE U.S. NEWS REPORT. MARCH 12 THE WASHINGTON STATE WILL NO LONGER REQUIRED TO WEAR MASS IN K-12 SCHOOLS WHY WOULD IT BE A CONSIDERATION THAT STUDENTS WAS STILL DO THIS.

WE ALSO KNOW KING COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH WILL NOT ISSUE A LOCAL MASK REQUIREMENT, SO WE HAVE BEEN WORKING DILIGENTLY TO MAKE SURE THE COMMUNICATION WITH STAFF AND STUDENTS AND FAMILY IT REALLY DOES.TO SOME KEY VALUES OF RESPECT, CHOICE, AND REASONS.
