Dr. Traci Pierce Presented End Results 2 and 3. junior high. Chirs - students exiting ELL and how are they doing . . . Traci - have not been able to accommodate this request yet. Ravi - quite disturbing - achievement gap between black and hispanic in math Nancy - does this disturbing trend SPED and ELL and Low Income - will it continue through High school? How will we impact it? Chip - will talk about this at retreat? Nanyc - how long have we had this kids - what will it take to impact thoese kids. Jackie - kdis here 6 adn 7 th kid - how long have they been int he program . . .does it make a difference if they come to us in earlier grades versus older grades. Ravi - most time exit the program in three years . . . Nancy - systemmetic problem - similiar to the state. Chip - done good job describing the problem - what investment will it take - three times the amount of money and where do we get that money - amount of amoutn funfed by the state isn't adequate to get special education perofrmance we find acceptable - spend 4 million local levy and still isn't adequate. Nnacy - with this type of dataneeds to be there to inform them what is going ion in Olympi on what it takes to get all kids to standard. Ravi - Chip - 60% in Idaho, one out of 8 in Washington State are ELL, ELL is growing more rapidly - regardless of level start digging in ELL cross walk between ELL and Special Education - will pull that data Nancy - what was their education before they came here - may have had a good education or bad equestion. Chip - not sure we have that education.
